As Spanish Fork continues to grow, Kevin understands the importance of making sure the city’s police and fire departments are equipped to keep up with rising demands.

In 2024, Spanish Fork police officers responded to more than 28,000 calls for service. Police departments across the state face challenges with recruitment and retention. Kevin has prioritized the salaries and benefits the city offers to help attract and keep quality officers in Spanish Fork.

The fire department has also undergone major changes in recent years, as it’s moved to a full-time, professional fire and EMS service. This transition has improved response times and overall efficiency, but it has also required thoughtful planning around staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.

Kevin remains committed to ensuring that Spanish Fork’s first responders have the tools, personnel, and support they need to keep the community safe.

Responsible Growth

When Kevin was a kid riding his bike through Spanish Fork, the population was around 11,000. Today, nearly 50,000 people call this community home—and it’s easy to see why. Spanish Fork continues to attract families because of its strong values, safe neighborhoods, and small-town feel.

As a city councilmember, Kevin has worked to protect the property rights of long-time residents and farmers, while also supporting those who choose to develop their land to help meet the needs of a growing population. With growth comes responsibility, and our city needs leaders with the vision and experience to plan wisely, preserve what makes Spanish Fork special, and prepare for the future.

Infrastructure

Spanish Fork’s continued growth demands smart, forward-thinking investment in critical infrastructure. As a member of the city council, Kevin has worked to prioritize projects that ensure our community remains strong and resilient for generations to come. From the new SFCN building that strengthens our local fiber network, to the construction of a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant and a new water storage tank, these projects reflect a commitment to both quality of life and long-term sustainability.
